collapsible dip net

Telescoping net link
It's benefits are:
Very compact and fine mesh. This net is constructed of metal and fiberglass with rubber (silicone?) tubing. This isn't the same net as the plastic versions used at pet shops for ponds.
No protection on the leading edge or rim of the net. In fact the leading edge of the net is the "rubber" tubing. This net will wear out quickly compared to any dip net typically used by most here but it fits in a backpack. The bag of the net is quite deep and makes sorting a time consuming effort.
I like this net for exploration and hiking but rocks will tear this net up in a matter of months. I use it in areas with soft bottoms.

You want the 1/16" or 1/32" net. The hoop can collapse down along the pole for easier storage.
Mark at Jonah's can customize his Perfect Dipnet to pretty much whatever specs you give him. Like Ed said, he does have 2 mesh sizes and he make the handle as long as you like and in as many segments as you like. I have one that I got from him that I can break down and store in my suitcase for when I go non-native fish sampling.

If you want a net that's removable from the handle, the perfect dipnet is PERFECT For some reason when you said collapsible, I didn't relate collapsible to removable head.
The perfect dipnet isn't even in the same ballpark as the net I posted since it's much more durable and designed for what we do. I have a perfect dipnet and I use it all the time. It's a whole lot better in all aspects than the folding net. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
