First is just a 5.5 gallon heavily planted.
Contains:
Fathead minnow (Great algae eater)
Various Shiners
Bluespotted Sunfish-.5"
Brook Stickleback-1"

Bluespot's favorite spot is in the cave in the bottom left corner with the Java fern at the entrance.
Stickleback's favorite spot is in the shadows on the left.

10 Gallon fairly lowlight tank.
Contains:
Creek Chub-4"
White Sucker-4"
Central Mudminnow-2"
Female Western Banded Killifish-3"
Warmouth-1"
2 Longear Sunfish-1.75" and 1.25" (Thank you Zimmerman's for the three sunfish!)
Rainbow Darter-1.5"
Logperch-3"
Blackside Darter-1.5"
2 Rosies-2"

I know it is a lot of fish, but first of all, they are all small, and second of all, they will be upgraded to a 20 or 50 gallon tank soon.

Now for that little quiz I promised. It mainly applies to the 10 G
Which fish will eat guppies? (hint, there are 7 in the 10G)
Which can eat a full Hikari Floating carnivore pellet? (5 fish)
My fish that will eat anything just about are...? (8 fish)
The first fish you would see if you glanced at the 10G?

Oh, and I just though I'd toss in a picture of my little dude Speedy.

I can't believe I forgot my eastern red-spotted newt.
He's in my 10 gallon.

That's not an Eastern red-spotted newt (Notophthalmus viridescens viridescens). That's a Central newt (Notophthalmus viridescens louisianensis). Just leting you know. :) Still a nice newt though; looks like a female.

Nice fish(and turtle) too!

Ok. I bought it from my lfs like a year and a half ago because I had been looking for one for about 5 years, and they were $5.
I don't even have to feed it. It gets its food by its self.

After a second look, it looks more like a Peninsular newt to me. Centrals have more contrast between the dorsal and belly colors. I looked at it again because you said you got it at an LFS, and I thought it could be a Peninsular, since most of the LFS animals come from Florida. I only said Central based on your location, since I thought you caught it.

You must have a tight fitting tank cover to keep that newt.
I love newts and have kept them on and off for years but finally gave up because they always find a way to climb out.

It's a glass cover with a little section cut out for the filter. Luckily, the output of the filter is too strong, so the newt gave up trying to get out long ago.
