Hi all,
The IL_IN NANFA Fall 2006 collecting trip will be on
Date: Saturday, October 14th. 2006.
Location: Sugar Creek, just north of Shades State Park in Parke County,
Indiana.
Starting Time: 11:00 am or so.
This location has been recommended by several people. I do have a
species list from INHS (courtesy Jeremy Tiemann).
Brant Fisher has mentioned that there is a nice diversity of minnow,
madtom and darter species in this stream.
We will plan on starting at the canoe landing/public parking area just
north of the Park on IN-235.
This is near the Deer Mill Covered Bridge across Sugar Creek.
We could plan on meeting around 10:00 am at the McDonald's (Address:
1000 Smith Rd, Crawfordsville, IN, 47933-1076)
This is just off the US-231 exit on I-74. This McD's is about 17 miles
north-east of the collection site and it will be 11:00
by the time we get to the site. If you like, you can also meet us
directly at the canoe landing/covered bridge off IN235
around 11:00 .
We will likely be able to get a fishing license from a local store in
Crawfordsville. One can also order a IN license online and print it out
at http://www.in.gov/ai...ense/index.html (recommended).
Feel free to invite or bring along any family, friends, etc. Please do
let me know where you will meet us and how many
people will be in your party. NANFA IL_IN will provide snacks, soda
etc. for the group.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks
Sajjad
This trip should be lots of fun. Roll call here. We can then let Sajjad know how many are coming.
