Hi y'all,
I'm yet another herper with a side interest in fishes (and plants, and bugs, etc....). I found this forum just a few days ago, and I want to tell you that I am very impressed with the level of expertise and the willingness to help shown by the members of this forum. I wish there were a herp hobbyist board half so helpful!
A little about me: I'm a native Tennessean, and have harbored a lifelong interest in the natural world. I took a BS in biology from Austin Peay State University one year ago, and I am currently working at my alma mater as a technician in the Center of Excellence for Field Biology at APSU. I curate the Museum of Vertebrate Zoology, as well as maintaining our various lab and educational animals, assisting in various field studies, and performing community outreach and education programs. Unfortunately, APSU has no ichthyology program, so my knowledge of our native fishes is not where I would like it to be. I hope this site will help me remedy that problem!
Cheers,
Nathan Parker
