Hey gang,

I get an entire weekend off before starting a new job Monday the 16th, and I intend to make the most of it. I wanna hit the MS coastal rivers in search of brackish killes, but I'm up for ANYTHING that doesn't involve collecting solo. Anybody up for it? I can camp overnight (fri, sat).

I think I may have thurs.-sun. of that week off. I will most likely be around Hattiesburg, but I am willing to collect anywhere. Just let me know.

Dred, looking for Adenia xenica, Fundulus grandis, F. majalis, F. pulverus, Lucania parva, etc. - basically anything I don't find inland.

Hey, do any of you guys know of any good campsites down there? Last time I stayed at Shepard State Park in Gautier, but their primitive campsites are not open so I had to camp on an RV pad. Plus they were pretty full - may not be room this time.

I have'nt been down there in over a year, but I remember a KOA on old fort bayou in Ocean Springs. I don't know if they are open, or if they have primitive camping. I have some friends in Gautier, I will call them and see what I can find out.

KOA is pretty much a RV park.

I don't necessarily need a developed campground - just a nice flat spot, preferrably on a stream, that's off the beaten path.

Guys, it appears all the campgrounds are full - Shepard State park, McLeod water park, sand hill, River Bend - any ideas on where I should go from here?

No need to sleep, we can just collect around the clock.

I'm not as young as I used to be! Plus, my wife would like a place to lay her pretty head.

In any case, I have found a couple more possibilites, and Harry has vounteered to exercise the prerogatives of his office with the local fishing club if all else fails!
