Generic Fish Trap

Here is the diagram for a kind of generic trap that almost anyone can make.
  • It isn't a serious trap by any means. It is meant to test the conditions of machineman's pond and then , if it works.........we can discuss machineman building a more "permanent" trap.
  • It isn't meant for just one species as it can collect most anything that swims.
  • Care should be taken to be sure that you don't violate any state or federal rules on this as most folks who use this type set up have collector's permits.

That looks pretty good. Thanks for the detailed instructions. How often would you check a trap like that?

I'd check it every afternoon as it probably fishes best at night.
