I did not think speckled MT tails looked like that, the photo does not quite do it justice
the spots are very hard to see, the MT is about 1" long, i caught 2 of them

same place we caught the other one, I also found a bunch of shiners, trying to get a decent Pict of one, they are black spot i think. I also got a few black stripe top minnows.

the shiners have a bad (i may have to put some of them down) case of fin rot. on some the tail has turned white and they cant seem to move it.

If you are thinking C. venusta - that is a very common minnow, but they don't show any color at all. A pic would help.
