Just thought you might enjoy the some of the pictures form my alaska trip this year.
This is a dolly varden from Quartz creek about 3 hr from Acchorage. This was probably the most beautiful river I have ever fished.

these big dolly varden were eating the roe form the spaning sockeye salmon. In this picture the dolly I have on is being chased by a sockeye. I had to gei it in quick because the sockeye was really mean.

I caught some silver salmon, tons of pinks and some chums I also caught a sockeye out of the river with the dollies.
The sockeyes were strictly off limits but sometimes you would snag one on accident. What a fight on 6 lb line.
I also caught this 116 lb. Halibut and some smaller ones and lingcod.

What a trip if you love to fish Alaska is the best place in the world.
If you don't love to fish you still should go there once in your life.
