Here's the cover of the Winter 2008 American Currents:

http://www.nanfa.org...inter_cover.pdf

It's at the printer now and should mail in a couple of weeks.

Another info-packed 40 pages, with husbandry information on Ammocrypta vivax, Fundulus bifax, Notropis topeka, and more. Also contains notices of 11 (count 'em! 11!) new species -- 9 new darters and 2 new sculpins. Plus articles and news items on zoogeography, river herring conservation, Phil Kukulski's Uniseine 4.0 (perhaps the ultimate one-man seine), and mangrove killies that leave the water to live inside trees. That's right -- inside trees.

Not a NANFA member and want to get this issue (and 3 other quarterly issues) for 20 bucks? Go here and join right now:

http://www.nanfa.org/join.shtml

We'll print an extra copy just for you!

Best fishes,

Chris

I love those color covers, and the nice 4 image tile and David Starr Jordan's comments.
Excellent cover.
And looking forward to a winter read!

American Currents is what NANFA is all about.

Is the vivax stuff from Ginny Adam's lab? Man it would be nice if they could get some of that video footage online.

When I first read the cover, I saw "Red Herring Conservation" lol.

Great stuff, excited to see it. Thanks for all you do Mr. Scharpf!

Todd

Nope. Bob Muller's basement!

Thanks, Casper and Todd, for the kind words.
