Where in a lake or pond is a likely place to find common carp fry?
I'd like to collect some for feeder fish

You often see carp spawning in flooded fields adjacent to a reservoir, so I bet floodplain ponds or pools would be a good place to find the fry; you might have to wait until spring, though. Any shallow vegetated water is likely to have young carp in it. Of course, it will likely have golden shiners, mosquitofish, juvenile sunfish and bass, and black-spotted topminnows too, so you'll get a nice variety of feeders in your nets/ traps. Just be sure to throw the bass back in!
