Hello,

A preliminary list of speakers and paper titles for the upcoming symposium
"Environmental Controls and Human Impacts on Stream Biota of Ohio's Western
Allegheny Plateau" is now available at:

<http://oak.cats.ohio...SA_meeting.htm>

The symposium will cover a wide range of topics, including how aquatic
biocriteria are refined to reflect regional variability in environmental
controls, what aspects of land use most affect biological communities in
streams, how human impacts are reflected in stream environments, how these
impacts affect different stream biota, and implications for ecological
recovery of impaired streams.

This symposium will be held at the North-Central Section Meeting of the
Geological Society of America in Evansville, IN, April 24-25, 2008. The
venue is the Casino Aztar Hotel and Conference Center on the Ohio River.
The specific day and time for the symposium has yet to be determined by the
technical committee, but stay tuned. You can access the conference webpage
at:

<http://www.geosociet.../Northc/08mtg/>

The early registration deadline for the conference is March 24. Please
consider joining us in Evansville in April!
