Does anyone know what recourse I might have regarding Priority Mail that hasn't been delivered for 10 (yes, ten) days? I must say that I am ticked. I know they say that there are no guarantees, but this is rediculous.

Obviously, I'll stop by the post office to ask (in as nice as a way as I can muster) what can be done as far as finding the package. But I'd like to hear from anyone else who has dealt with a similar issue before I go.

The contents of the box are 6 little tadpoles in a Kordon breather bag, cushioned in crumpled newspaper. The box is not labeled as to contents. The only labels are the addresses.

I don't have a lot of hope. I did once get some Heterandria that took 9 days to get here and survived, but my gut thinks that takpoles might be more sensitive (although I have no real understanding to think so ).

I wish I could give good news. You can just wait it out. No way to "track" these packages in any case. I've heard of long delivery times and in most cases success. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Unfortunately waiting it out is the only alternative. Did you pack them in a styro within the cardboard box? That really helps. I've had more problems when someone sends me priority mail when the box is flimsey and gets damaged. Tadpoles are pretty tough so there's still hope.

Well... tadpoles made it to their destination with a 50% survival rate (3 of 6). No styrofoam, but newspaper to prevent bouncing around. They were headed to a school, not an outdoor mailbox, so I wasn't too worried about temperature.

But it IS annoying that the priority mail is taking so long! I'm almost tempted to do an experiment comparing it to the normal post. But that would require $...

I have had good success with priority, but am waiting for my "train wreck".

I've had a good track record with Priority too. Accidents do happen, but they are rare.
