Just out of curiosity, how many of the members here are actually NANFA members? If you're not a NANFA member, why not? Thanks.

That's a good idea.

It is a good idea, but I worry that it might alienate those that aren't. We certainly strive to have everyone that browses this forum be NANFA members, but it is by no means necessary. For those that aren't it is very easy to join if you wish. Just go to www.nanfa.org.

If you're not a member you should know this is an open forum. Anyone can discuss native fish here. You don't have to be a member to post here or add to the knowledge of native fishes. But since you're here, you should know that NANFA is the perfect place to meet new people with the same interests and learn more about the fish we love so much. The publication (American Currents) is an outstanding read. I can't wait for it to arrive in the mail. Membership is low cost and easy to join. I promise you'll not regret the decision.

I am a member. Maybe a way to include it in the profile is to have an affililiation field which would allow people to list related club or association affiliations. Could get a bit long I suppose.

just became a member yesterday i've alway's wanted to join i was once a member a long time ago in the eightie's i think and just got away from the hobby the nanfa website made it easy to join with the paypal link and just 20$ how could i resist i'm also from wa. st. where the collecting law's make it difficult to collect fish hope there's other member's from the great n.w. resistance is futile!
