I want to say green sunfish, a brighter pic would help.

I need to get some new lightbulbs for my tank, they burned out so this is the best i could do for right now, i am trying to get some better pics though.

if anyone has any tips on how to take a pic of this fish, let me know. He is very shy right now, won't come out from behind my plants. When he does he won't stop moving.

After massive photoshopping of the image, I'd say that it's a green sunfish and Martin is right before the fact.

Thanks a lot. That is what i thought it was, but i just wanted to make sure. He is a very shy fish, and stays in a stump i have whenever anyone goes near the tank. Will this shyness go away? Or it will it always be this spooky?

Individuals vary, of course, but in my experience most greens are pretty bold. I suspect your fish will get braver as he becomes better acclimated.

Nope, just need a better photo! Then I can narrow it down to within about a week or so :twisted: Best I can predict at this time is July-October. POSSIBLY sooner, but it's hard to say.
