Guys
about the lake wylie giant snails
I have finally figured it out
trapdoor snails(livebearer snail) native to Japan
still trying to figure out how they got there? 8)

Are you sure of that ID?
there are a number of large Snails Native to the US also.

There are a lot of native snails that look similar to the trapdoor snails. I would really like to see a picture of the actual snails.

It wouldn't surprise me, though, if there were exotics in L. Wylie. Just last year a Ctenolucius species was taken from that lake.

It is always best to look at Scientific rather than Hobby sites Robert.

This link lists many of the known introduced mollusks for your area.

photo will be coming see I had about2 dozen in my goldfish pond problem I not longer live in that house
