This message was originally send to Jeremy Tiemann requesting help. I will be on a photo trip at this time and cannot attend. I'm posting this in hopes local members might be able to assist.

Hi,

My name is Cecily Smith and I'm one of the organizers for this
year's (third annual) Boneyard Creek Community Day (BCCD), which is
Saturday, April 19th. On BCCD, community members come out to Scott
Park in Champaign and receive assignments related to keeping
Boneyard Creek clean and healthy (cleanup, naturalization of banks
with native plants, marking storm drains with "Drains to Rivers"
medallions). Volunteers return to the park at noon, where they get a
free lunch.

In the first two years of BCCD, we had a fish tank with some
specimans of fish out of Boneyard Creek; the fish tank is a favorite
with participants. Rob Kanter passed your information to me as
someone who might be able to help with the tank this year (our usual
person is not available). Basically, we need someone to seine
several specimans out of the creek, set up a tank for them (we
provide the table, but don't have a tank), man the table for two
hours (11:00 am - 1:00 pm), and make sure the fish are released back
into the creek. These tasks could be done by one person, or shared
by several. We could provide a volunteer to help with seining the
evening before or morning of the event. Of course, you would get a
event t-shirt and lunch as thanks for your help.

If you would be able to help with all or part of this exhibit please
let me know. If you know someone else who may be able to help, feel
free to pass my contact information to them.

Thank you,

Cecily Smith
