acrylic aquarium

i recently bought a used 75 long acrylic tank with accs. what a deal however the tank is slightly hazed or clouldy not deeply scratched but just not clear like the new one's. i've bought the novus kit ( 1.2.3.) although i have'nt got it yet ( bought on net ). anybody have experience with this problem? thanks in advance

the only major issue i've heard of with acrylic is that certain sp. of pleco will gradually destroy one

Some types of household cleansers will cause acrylic to cloud up. I don't know if there's anything you can do about it.

o-k got the novus kit today did 1 small area on tank to see if it works right away noticed a huge difference cleared up cloudiness and haze. did 1 thorough application ( following novus instructions ) tank looks just like new. i am impressed! used tank is a triton. highly recommend this product if you own acrylic aquarium :biggrin:

Not knowing what a novus kit is I am glad it worked for you. Wondering about what residue is left behind and the cure out process before you can add fish.
