Hello,
I am a long time fish keeper and have just recently gotten into the native fish keeping. I have had NUMEROUS types of fish (scats, monos, archers, african cichlids, american cichlids, asian cichlids, live bearers, gobies, venomous fish) so I know my way around a little bit.
A little about me, I am 21 and still in college for Business Management. I love doing research about different types of fish and will always do so before purchasing anything. I currently breed Lake Tanganyikan Cichlids, so if anyone is interested in some of those, drop me a PM. During the summer time, I walk along sandbars on the Wisconsin River ( near Portage) and save fish that are stranded in little pools in the middle of these sand bars. We net them then put them back into the river, seeing it seems that the numbers of fish are dropping anyways. It's neat because we see smallmouth, largemouth, sunfish, crappie, perch, northern, pickerel, muskies, waleye, occasionally pirate perch which is always the highlight of the day/trip.
Tanks:
125 gallon calvus/comp tank
33 gallon brevis/ meleagris tank
55 gallon paracyprichromis/ julidochromis tank
20 gal L ocellatus tank
20 gal L mustax tank
10 gal DIY ( avatar pic) buescheri tank
2.5 gal Pea Puffer tank

soon:
20 gal L pygmy sunfish tank
20 gal L darter/ shiner tank

Well I guess that is a good quick BIO lol

Welcome to the forum! I hope you have a great time as you should be. Seeing how you are amongst the most passionate Native Fish keepers you should find yourself at home in no time. :smile2:

Welcome, NVCichlids! Great to have you here! Just as a note, I would encourage you to add your location to your profile so that others who are viewing your posts know where you are from. It helps when asking about fish IDs and such. Again, welcome!
