The University of California Press has started the Freshwater Ecology Series. The first volume in the series is Freshwater Mussel Ecology, A Multifactor Approach to Distribution and Abundance by David Strayer. It's available in August, 2008, for $45.00 cloth, and the ISBN is 25526-5. I've only seen the announcement for the book in the UC Press catalog, and of course it sounds pretty good. Certainly there's a need for this book, and Strayer would seem to be a good author for it.

Are you trying to get me into trouble Bruce?
I'll have to pass this along to my advisor. I bet a copy shows up fairly quickly. Thanks for posting it!
