I'm a financial professional and I live in Fort Worth, Texas, on a small corps lake called Lake Worth. Judging from what I've caught in it, it supports an above average population of crappie and white bass, some hybrids and stripers (washed down from much larger Eagle Mountain), largemouth, and assorted cats (I've caught flathead, blue and channel).

I've kept freshwater tanks, mostly Africans, for about 7 or 8 years. I've been passionate about fishing for as long as I can remember.

The only experience I've had keeping natives was a collection of largemouth fingerlings as a science fair project in middle school. I think this is a great forum, really good information. Look forward to conversing with you folks.

Yes, Welcome!

We use to sell Christmas trees fresh from Oregon down in Portland, Texas. It's been a while. Can't remember if we ever made it to Fort Worth or not. We have photos somewhere of icicles hanging from the fountains while we were in San Antonio. It can happen!

San Antonio's a fun place. Texas is a nice place to visit, lots of interesting stuff to do.

Use to have a neighbor that was widely recognized as a top notch fishermen. He was reputed to never cast out a line without reeling in a fish. He caught so many, people couldn't eat all that he caught and he took to catch and release. I guess that's why I associate catch and release with good fishing skills.
