Possibly a walleye fingerling?

this fish was caught in a little creek that flows out of a pond that has walleye and perch so i dont know what it is?

Close, but it's a yellow perch.

but it does not have the black bars/stripes

As Nathan said, you still can see some of the black pigment, plus several other common things, like shape and size of head, lack of white pigment on the base of the caudaul fin and black on the membranes of the dorsal fins.

that looks like a rouffe, they are an invasive perch in lake erie, i know very little about them past that. are you close to erie or better yet is there someone who has actually worked with them that can tell me if I am crazy for thinking that and its just a perch

It is a perch... Eurasian Ruffe have also NOT been found in lake Erie and nowhere south of Thunder bay on the eastern side of the state.

i caught in a small creek in a minnow trap and i thought ruffe are only found in lake superior???

Ruffe have scattered black spots on the dorsal fins and are joined with second dorsal fin while perch have two seperated clear dorsal fins. Again this fish in picture looks like a wash out yellow perch especially if they come from sandy areas.

So far I hasn't heard anyone caught ruffe in Lake Erie.

i think i read to much stuff put out by the odnr about them being an invasive that I assumed they were in erie already, thanks for that info i'll have to look into them more now
