And I must say I have never seen a satinfin look like that. Up here in Virginia they seem to just have plain white iridescent tips to the fins. I'd love to find some with some yellow.
Really Derek? I see the occassional male fired up with yellow fins. Thanks Dustin, I especially enjoyed the fireyblack and greenfin. Talk about some diamond shaped scales.

Nice pics Dustin, I see you've been working on it.
I'm working on it. I have a new background and clear paddle so I have eliminated shadows, but it causes the clear fins to be less than clear. I also have a new editing program, but I have yet to explore all of it's possibilities.

I'll add to this derail....I'm having issues with fin definition with clear paddles as well. It seems I've traded shadows for other issues. Who would have thought fish photos would be so difficult?
Photos are looking good Dustin.

Agreed, those are some nice pics!
If you have access to Photoshop, the "dodge" tool set for highlights will sometimes make those fin rays and membrane margins pop out, unless the background is too bright -- then you're just augered out... The little slidey-bar of brightness/contrast is evil, don't rely on it! Adjust curves instead, and do it as a mask so you save the original file as a layer!
Uland, the rain that came through TN screwed up our plans to get out, didn't boost river levels that much but things got turbid... will let you know when we reschedule!
