LMI Scenic River & Trail Center Coordinator
Job Description
July 21, 2008

Position Goal
Inform and inspire adults, children, landowners, LMI members, decision makers and all people to value the
Little Miami Scenic River for recreation and to take part in the river’s natural restoration and protection.
Responsibilities
A) Welcome and educate visitors to the LMI Scenic River & Trail Center (SRTCenter) at 211 Railroad
Avenue, Loveland OH. Develop and implement new river-related educational exhibits, programs
and informational materials for distribution at the SRTCenter
B) Conduct offsite presentations to inform river valley residents, river and trail users, local officials and
others regarding the mission, potential partnerships, educational opportunities and restoration
projects for the Little Miami River, Little Miami Inc. and the SRTCenter.
C) Solicit and supervise volunteer SRTCenter staff and provide staff training
D) Promote Little Miami Inc. membership support and other citizen opportunities to help protect and
restore the environmental resources of the Little Miami National Wild & Scenic River and its
watershed.
E) Report to and perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

This is a part-time position averaging 30 hours per week starting immediately upon hiring and ending Nov
30, 2008 and requires a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends.
Qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate abilities in the areas of environmental education, public
relations and communication, group dynamics, leadership skills. 1 to 3 years related experience in the field
of environmental education a plus. Must have a valid driver's license.

Pay is $15.10 per hour.
