Does anyone know how to breed tadpole madtoms or any other madtoms? Also would the madtoms get along with pygmy sunfish, blue-spotted sunfish, and darters?

Breeding NA catfishes is not the easiest of things to do. I would suggest checking out the Conservation Fisheries website since they breed a lot of madtoms. Also the American Aquarium Fishes by Goldstein may have some breeding tips for madtoms as a whole.

Tadpole madtoms can defintely be kept with darters and Enneacanthus sunfishes. They will readily snack on pygmies though. They will also eat any other smaller fish that will fit into their mouths. Be sure to keep them well fed to try to temper this.
