Today I took my daughters to San Felipe Creek in Del Rio, Texas to do a little crayfish hunting and to pick up a few Mexican Tetras - Astyanax mexicanus for my aquarium. As soon as we arrived at the location where we usually catch the crayfish, I couldn't believe the amount of plecos in the water. There were literally thousands. They were in swarms across the bottom and seemed to be on every submerged rock. While netting in the weeds, I caught several in the 2mm to 5mm range. I don't know if the bass eat them but it's really ashamed to see so many invasive plecos there. The largest I saw was around 1.5 feet long! I also caught one little cory cat which I didn't know was there. I guess its gonna get like FL soon.

if you ever want to test your shipping skills, ill take hundreds of the pleco's, i can put them in my native tanks to keep them clean, im sure most of htem will die, but some will live.

i bought 12 of them at petland on a 99 cent each sale, all died but one, im keeping the water temps at 70* all year round.

While I don't ship anything that I care about, I may take you up on it as I don't care much for the plecos. I threw most of them on the bank anyway. It would be interesting to see if they survived the shipping.
