Position/Title: Researcher I (Aquaculture and Fisheries Research Coordinator)

Agency: Fisheries and Illinois Aquaculture Center, Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Natural Resources, or related discipline with applied aquatic emphasis. Experience in water quality testing, pond and recirculating system management, boat operation and maintenance. Formal coursework in fisheries and aquaculture desirable. Qualified applicants must have a valid Illinois driver's license.

Responsibilities: Assist with aquaculture and fisheries research, and general maintenance of research systems, field equipment, sampling/monitoring equipment, and miscellaneous research instruments. Supervise technicians and occasionally organize maintenance projects. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to facilitate aquaculture and fisheries research.

Closing Date: 15 November 2008 or until filled.

Salary: Up to $2,100/month (100%, with benefits), depending on experience.
