Lance,
Bay Creek is that mudhole and yeah the bottom is a bit soft but not as bad as you might think. I'm not certain it's a longear but that would be my guess.
Don't like the mud??? Man, I'll have to take you guys on a southern Illinois soft bottom tour. I love the mud!
No I don't like mud! Those slant banks are treacherous down there. I fell more times that day than I think I have in the past 5 years. I felt cleaner wet wading through duck weed in the swamp. We did get some interesting stuff. Next time you're going down that way let us know I'll bring my ice pick and repelling rope so I don't accidentally end up using my back as a toboggan again
very nice tank..I hope my 90G will look as good as that does when I get it set up..
Thanks for sharing it definately has inspired me.. what kind of lighting are you using?
Thanks for the compliments everyone.
I'm sure it will. Make sure you plan it somehow with whatever you're looking for. I chose java fern because I hate getting wet all the time. You tie them up and walk away. A 90 gallon should be fun for you. The more real estate you have to play with the more creative you can get. Make sure you show us!
It's just a single bulb fluorescent fixture that came with it for now. It's not a bright tank. I'm debating on getting a compact fixture just the price tag is killing me.
