All really cool lookin fish, had a sleeper goby once got about 8 inches long, was never aggressive, just perched around with those kewl eyes, all the fish look nice. Like your substrate, looks like it came straight from a stream with little twigs etc. That Hog choaker is sure a weird lookin unit, what does it do ??

Great photos. You have quite the mix of species in there. I think you tank looks good. Do you have a full tank shot?
I also think your lovely bluegill is a redspotted sunfish (Lepomis miniatus) or a spotted sunfish (Lepomis punctatus), but beautiful none-the-less!

Definitely a redspotted sunfish (L. miniatus). They do not have the spots on the head and face like the blackspotted (L. punctatus), just the red spots on the side of the body that yours is clearly showing. The teal blue half moon under the eye is also a character of both these species.

Somewhere in the last few days on here, i got a lot of good suggestions on sinking that wood, I had a really BIG piece that was like a cork. I fianlly used stainless screws and screwed a half a patio block to it. Its down now, i just didnt want to wait months or years for it to sink.

We were just discussing sinking driftwood in another thread. Seems like a good idea is to buy a piece of plexi-glass and screw it to the wood (stainless steel screws) and bury the plexi-glass under the gravel.

Edit, Jim said the same thing
