Hi kurt,Any collectors from Long Island area? Is it legal in NY?

I'm a Long Islander. If you want to collaborate on some stream explorations in this area (LI, and Upstate) get in touch.
As far as legalities go, you do need to get a fresh water fishing license. In the booklet of regulations that comes with it
there are descriptions of what collecting methods are acceptable for "bait fish". That pretty much covers what we are looking
for.
