I've attached two pictures of a recent invertebrate find. Obviously these aren't hydra. My best guess is Obelia but I'd love to have someone who knows more tell me for sure and point me in the right direction to learn more. It might be an interesting and educational addition to a tank if it's native. On the other hand, if it has potential to be invasive I'll do my best to help kill them off. These came from the LFS's goldfish tank. They say the water is changed 50%-80% daily, no dechlor, no salt, just HOB filters and good ol' Chicago water. Any thoughts?

They are some type of encrusting bryozoans. I have them in my systems as well although growth forms appear a little different. Some are native but you will need an expert to determine if yours are or not.
