I'm setting up a refugium for my big tank; I want to grow hornwort, macroalgae, etc. in it. I've got two two-lamp F14T5 fixtures, but can't find any decent lamps locally. Any recommendations?

I always use these for my refugiums, and have even used them as main lighting for soft coral aquariums in the past. They put out LOTS of light, are fairly cheap, and last a long time. You will have to wire them to a standard grounded cord though (which is easy). Plus, they sit perfectly on standard 10gal aquariums.
Here's an example of a year old bulb on my reef aquarium my freshman year.

I would highly recommend these lights to anyone. I own three of them, on various aquariums.
Did I mention they have the perfect color spectrum for plants and algae?

Man, that thing is awesome! I don't think I can use it in this case (not enough clearance); do you happen to have the dimensions handy? Thanks!

Thanks! That's smaller than I thought.

Wow, those look really great! I was thinking about buying some lights for my 55 gallon soon and these look like they might be a good option...do those come with the bulbs?

Bulbs included!
Try and salvage some old computer power cords to splice and attach to them.

Did I mention they are BRIGHT?

Since they are compact florescents, very little heat is given off. You can keep a hand on the fixture after it has been on for 5+ hours with no problem. I'm sure the bulb gets hot though, but a single fixture will in no way heat your tank much.

I still need recommendations for lamps for the T5 fixtures I've already got. Anybody?
