Sigh. I had a really nice culture of white worms going and then I left it in the garage where I guess it got too cold. I'm thinking of getting them again, but our house does not have a/c or basement. We have window units but I'm sure the rooms will get over 80 degrees. At our rented house, I kept them in the basement, where the temperature stayed cooler.
I know grindal and walter worms can take higher temps, but they are much smaller. Are there any other worms that are larger than those that can take higher temps? I really liked the white worm culture because it didn't ever sour (I set it up like Jase recommended here: http://forum.nanfa.org/index.php?showtopic...ite+worm\).
If I find a dirt cheap used compact fridge, I'll be sure to pick it up. But in the mean time, my pygmys are getting hungry!
Advice anyone?

Have you tried daphnia? They're easy to culture, should be abundant in the shallows right now, and will at least be a stopgap until you get your worm situation sorted out. My pyggies like them.
