My LMB has been acting very odd today. He is very light where as he usually has alot of dark markings on him and he is swimming with his butt in the air and he seems pretty slugish. Not like just sitting in one spot or anything but not moving as much as usual.....

This is how he usually looks....

Did you recently feed him heavily? Gas buildup?

Yea actually he had a big meal on friday! So this could be a gas build up? What would I need to do for that? He seems better today but I just turned the lights on so I am not sure yet.

I would agree that it could be gas build up. I have had fish seem to struggle to stay down after eating a large meal. I feed my sunfish a lot of freeze dried foods so they take in air and this causes them to be more boyant especially small ones.

I know he is better but there could be an underlaying problem. Most likely its just gass though.

How many, what kind and how big are fish do you have?

Are all your fish effected?

What is your gallonage?

What kind of decor and gravle do you have?

What about plants?

What kind of naiborhood/county do you live in?

How old is your fish?

Whats your PH?

Nitrates?

Nitrites?

Ammonia?

Hardness?

What test kit did you use? What brand?

WHats your filter?

WHat brand?

How do you treat your replacement water?

What brand if you use dechlor?

Where do you get your tap, or creek water? (from a resavar? Aquaduct?)

What do you do for airation?

Do you live in Aurora Colorado? (serous question)

What medication, if any are you using?

Are you just trying to get some more posts or something? I clearly said that my bass was fine and this thread has been dead for quite a while now. Please don't spam with this stuff...
