This book is a must-have for anyone interested in Mexican and Central American natives. It was just released this year and was written by the late world-reknowned UMMZ ichthyologist Robert Rush Miller. The section on Goodeids is particularly well done.

Those mexican fish best have a greencard before entering my country! :) I guess with a name like DeLaVega, I should keep my mouth shut and embrace those mexican fish. :)

At 75 bucks, how many Mexicans are buying this book?

With the value of the yankee dollar declining, more than you might think, I'd guess.

Does one need to be Mexican to appreciate the hidden 3-headed, 5-eyed, parasite-riddled ichthyological wonders of Lake Chapala? :P

I also have this book and think that it is a very good and much needed reference. I would have liked to see more photos v. illustrations, but it is top notch none the less.
