Hello there :) Just thought I'd join, see if I could learn something and find out about some fish and inverts I'm interested in. I have 7 aquariums, but as far as native fish go all I have are 3 mummichogs I caught locally.

:D yeah, they're pretty great! Drowning in them here, there's thousands that come into this tiny pond from a nearly brackish river via a 20 foot stream. It's so small they can't get to it unless the tide is extremely high. Thanks for the welcome :)

Have you tried feeding them pond snails and baby crayfish? It's really interesting to watch them eat those.

There've been pond and ramshorn snails in their tank, not sure if they ate any of them. As for baby crayfish, well, crayfish are semi-uncommon around here, and I'd probably sell any babies I ever got. In fact, I'm looking for cambarellus shufeldtii, and apparently there's only 1 person in the country with them. And no luck there ](*,)

Welcome to NANFA Brycern :smile2: a friend of mine from the south, one day looked at a fish in one of my aquariums, from a distance and asked, Is that a mumichog..... I said a WHAT???? there are no such animals, you made that name up....so he took me to the computer googled it up, and sure enough..... So now everytime i hear that name i get a chuckle... Again welcome and thanks for another chuckle
