Hello everyone, My name's Ashley. I'm currently in my last year of college in the city of Savannah, GA. I've been keeping tropical fish for a while now, but I just recently discovered the beautiful fish that live in our own waters. I originally hail from Las Vegas, so I'm not used to the abundant variety of fish and wildlife in general that I find out here. I'm hoping to make some catches before I go back home to Vegas. I would love to start a breeding colony of some local darters and shiners but I'll be happy with whatever i can catch
Hello from the coast of georgia

Welcome Ashley. There are several places around here to collect some nice fish. It justdepends on what you want. Savannah is also home to hundreds of nice aqaurium plants. PM me and I'll steer you to the good places. My health and age wont let me collect any more but for sharing a fish or two I'll head you right...Jim

Welcome to NANFA. Hope you find some nice stuff around Savannah. I would think there is lots of nice stuff there. LasVegas! Been there done that!! You know what Nellis is of course. Well I was there when the town was nine miles southwest from the Base and not right on it as it is now. 76-79 I was there. My most favorite place I have ever lived. I love the desert. But here in Tennessee we do have a very diverse aquatic haven.
Hope your native experience is a great one. And I agree with you, there is such beauty in the North American waters that one needs to look no farther. Let us know what you find and keep. I would be really interested in what could be found near Vegas. I would think it would have its own unique species but I am no expert. The last time I was there Lake Mead was frighteningly low. I know I liked chaseing the lizards when I was there LOL.
I head to South Texas for a Birdwatching tour next Wednesday with the Family, but no fishing on the menue. No interest in my family except me "frown". We will be down there for about a week. Parrots in the wild and stuff like that down there. Awesome!!
Regards,
Cajun
