Yes and i have no problems there, but as you can see this is what i get here (see above) What do you think ??I don't seem to have any issues.
Are you on other IPB forums? I ask since each forum software set acts a little differently.
Please excuse my playing around, but i think i found out this is in HTML, as you can see my second attempt, worked somewhat, after i did the html thing. I hate that, and i see now why everybody uses black everyday letters here, Too much trouble for the cutesy gains Thank you for your time in making me see this and please delete this as junk if you would like ( Youre such a nice helpful guy to have around ) but then again thats why you get the BIG BUCKS

The membership here is quite different than most forums. You won't see folks around here trying to get high post counts and using catchy gimmicks for signatures.

You really can do just about anything here you can do elsewhere. It's just a little different. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.

I agree, and thats as it should be on a forum of this elevated level of expertise. 10 quality posts are much more useful than 100 useless posts designed to raise the count. However sometimes dummies such as myself have really inquireing minds and have to ask lots of questions . While i have your attention, Could i change my Name here to my real first name which is, i feel much more in keeping with the nature of this board? And at what point would you recommend becoming a paying member ( i Know thats a loaded question for you ) my thought is... when we.. as in (The Forum) and (Myself) both are sure we are compatable.

I read my post and want to say that I wasn't trying to pick on other forums or members of the forums where catchy gimmicks are used. I think lots of people just try and fit in those environments as we do here. When in Rome, do as the Romans.
I don't think of you or anyone as a dummy since I'm pretty darn new to this myself. I believe in the potential of people and their ability to learn. I might not be a shining example of a fast learner but I try and make up for failings in that department with enthusiasm.
If you would like your screen name changed to your real name, please just let any staff member know what you'd like it changed to. Real names are not required for the forum in any way. If you would like to remain anonymous that is up to you.
I honestly believe everyone on the forum should join NANFA and right away . All kidding aside there are several reasons why I think people interested in native fish should join NANFA. I know the economy is tough right now but we still only ask for 20 dollars a year for membership and I think 20 bucks is a pretty small investment for a year. Your 20 dollars will be put to good use by an incredibly responsible group of elected board members and I don't just say that because I'm on the board. I've not seen a penny spent that did not either help native fish or spent on advancing the organization via it's objectives. I have a tremendous amount of faith in the organization to do exactly what it says it does and in an efficient manner. NANFA is an all volunteer organization and people are not paid so you'll not have to worry that your membership dues will line the pockets of corporate fat cats NANFA also has an excellent quarterly publication which seems to have run into a snag this quarter but, we'll find a way to make it up to everyone somehow.
As far a when to join... I was a little slow and have regretted it. I've met some of the nicest people ever through NANFA and they have helped me learn a tremendous amount about the fish I enjoy so much while I've made good friends. I think the most important thing for new members or potential members is to get out and meet other members in the water. If you're thinking about joining you might want to look at that Ohio trip the gang is planning. That's a swell group of guys (I've not met all of them yet) and I'm sure you'd have a great time. That might be a good way to know if you want to join but at the same time...it's only 20 dollars and your money will be spent wisely so I can't see you losing anything in the deal.

I said all of that about NANFA and completely ignored the awesome grants (slaps head). They might not be million dollar grants but funding worthy projects. I'm particularly excited to see the most recent grant works.
