Hey Chris,
Why did you change your screen name? Is there a story behind choosing kalawatseti?

Do you have a picture of Oregonichthys kalawatseti? Long way from Baltimore.

I changed my screen name because I'm no longer the editor of AC.

Kalawatseti is my favorite fish name: “Oregon once had a remarkable diversity of native peoples with more native languages than all of Europe. The Kalawatset, a tidewater Umpqua people . . . , were part of this lost human diversity and serve to forewarn of a parallel decline in diversity of Oregon’s native freshwater fishes.”

Nope. Don't have a picture of one. Have never seen one in the wild. Don't spend much time in Beaver State.

Thanks Chris. I was thinking about your e-mail address.

Southern Alabama should be the beaver state. We stopped at so many streams in December that were just big still pools, some with visible beaver dams, that I thought I would have to start swimming to get to collectible water.
