Hello everyone, I'm very happy to introduce myself here at NANF. I was referred here by a peer at the Chicago Aquatic Gardener's Association [CAGA] on yahoo; recently I've decided to build a native Illinois themed 70 gallon aquarium and was in need of some better information about native fishes and aquatic plants of Illinois. All I can say is thank you for the surplus of great information held here and all the help it has given me in my project.

Currently I am an ecology student at Joliet Junior College in Joliet, Illinois and a research assistant in Entomology at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle.

I'll see you all around the forums!

Welcome Fieldsofblue. By golly you're close by (I'm in the south suburbs). I hope you find the information you're looking for and keep your eyes peeled on the local edition for outings .

Welcome, FieldsofBlue, from a former Chicagolander! I used to live in Glen Ellyn. Drove past the Morton Arboretum several times, but never went. Maybe someday I'll make it down there! Anyways, welcome!

Brian
