I don't know if the new system has this feature, but I really like the feature on another board I read: When you put the pointer over a topic (as if to click on it) and just hover it there, the first few lines of the post show up. Helps tell me if a) I'm interested and b) if it is indeed the post I'm looking for (since I often get the titles mixed up)

Also, (and this is a silly issue), the smilies aren't animated on my home computer. Does anyone know why not?

Do you have the more recent versions of Java running? (Not that I truly know what I'm talking about.....)

I don't believe this forum software does that. I believe vbulletin does.

The images are animated gifs. I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to see them unless you have a browser setting or security setting enabled.

I know there is a fresh pot of Java in the kitchen...

Oh well. It's OK.

I'll investigate the browser setting. Thanks for the tip.

Took me awhile, but it is enabled. Is this what you were looking for?

doh! can't have everything :D

Edit... Yeah, realized why. "View New Posts" is actually a search function as opposed to the normal view. I'll see if the coders are keeping it updated and suggest it.

Yes, that is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. I find it helps save time when browsing. Thanks so much for enabling it (and for going back to a post that's about 10 months old!)

Yeah, I was browsing through mods and saw it and thought of you. Better late than never.

Also, fuzzy, that issue has already been brought to their attention, so we'll see if they do anything about it.
