I sampled the lower Illinois River earlier this week and took a few shots. The Silver Carp were abundant and nearly put one of the guys out of commission.

Love those gar shots, how big of a photo tank do you use for the gar? Or should I say, how big were the gar?

Thanks Blake...The tank is 24" wide and the gar were about 16". We found Shorties over 28" and as fat as my arm.
We found a single spotted Gar Richard and was unable to get a fin clip. Check your email as I really need to talk to you about the gar down here.
