G'day Folks

A friend back in Australia has asked me to get all 50 state quarters. For some reason Wisconsin is proving rather difficult to find for some reason. Does anyone have one that they could mail to me?

Thanks

I don't have any, but I go through a lot of quarters (laundry). I'll keep an eye out for you.

I have a funny story about the Wisconsin quarter. When I worked at an LFS a few years ago when it came out, a girl was telling me how there was an error in the Wisconsin quarter. They added an extra leaf onto the ear of corn, and it was only released in San Antonio and Arizona (I think). I started flipping through the quarters in the till, and that day I found one of the elusive extra leaf quarters. I traded one of my normal quarters for it and held on to it for a few years. I have a bunch of ol coins that I would never sell because of sentimental attachment, but the Wisconsin quarter was strictly an investment. It paid off well. A couple of years ago, I sold it for $150 on ebay. It's the best investment I've ever made. Sorry, I have no more Wisconsin quarters, though.

Wow! That's awesome! I've heard about those quarters but have never seen one. And, yes, I've been looking. You're very blessed!

Luckily the I keep the change bucket on the desk next to the computers. I found a buffalo nickel, a bicentenial, and 2 quarters with cows on em. Will trade for beer ( thats what should be on the back of that quarter, I understand cows and cheese but corn??). They're not mint but ones in descent enough shape.

G'day Slim

Thanks for finding the Wisconsin quarter. I only really need one. Do you want anything for it? I'd be happy to buy you a beer at the next NANFA convention!

I was thinking that the easiest way to send it to me is to fold up a junk piece of paper and tape the coin to it and send it regular mail. I am heading to Australia on May 12th, thus would need it before then.

I really appreciate your help.

Thanks
