Hi everyone.
My name is Robin and I live in the Bloomington-Normal area. I just set up a 55gal tank and am preparing it to be a native biotope.
I hope to keep some darters and shiners and maybe some madtoms as well as local plants.
I used to catch and keep darters as a kid because I love their personality, but then I got hooked on african cichlids for a while.
I recently rediscovered how fascinating the fishes of our own backyards are though, and decided that my next tank should be natives.
I joined up here to get some collecting and husbandry tips. Nice to meet you all!

Hey zingor, glad you found us and welcome to the North American Native Fishes Association forum.
I think many of us keep or have kept fish from around the world and rediscovered North American fishes so you're right at home.
Thanks for joining the forum.
