crayfish identification

I have a crayfish in my 125gal and I am wondering what it is. I only see it every 3 or 4 months....It is about 4 inches long......

Some type of Procambarus species. Cannot even being to make an ID with just a lateral view, especially without knowing any information like where it came from.

thats the issue....... I got it as a feeder crayfish from a Preuss Pets here in Lansing, MI. I believe they get them from a farm in Flordia. This is the only cray that has survived in this tank.... every other cray I put in the tank we eaten by the Bluegill and green sunfish.

Probably something like P. alleni, P. clarkii, or P. acutus. Without the pictures I note necessary in the identification sticky thread that's the best someone can confidently offer.

I can tell you that I put one of thease guys in a tank and now there are six....there were no eggs on the cray when I put it in the tank.....it was about a half inch long when I got it......

Females store sperm for a while until they are ready to use it. :wub: Although at a half inch long I wouldn't think it was ready to reproduce. How long have you had it?

I have had it about four months....pretty fast growers.......totally milky color when I got it

They do grow fast. I love watching mine.
