Part-Time Field Educator
Ohio River Foundation, a conservation non-profit organization based in Cincinnati, Ohio,
seeks part-time Field Educators for its River Explorer Education Program.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with education team to conduct ˝ day experiential education field trips for 4th –
12th grade students and special groups, including: wildlife observation, biological
sampling, water quality testing, ecosystem and watershed concepts, and safety review
• Manage and maintain educational and scientific equipment
• Job will require local travel
• Assist staff with program development
• This position involves seasonal exposure to the elements.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• College coursework in biology, ecology, or related field
• Education coursework or experience with children in an education setting preferred
• Strong communication skills desired; ability to work self-directed and team member
• General knowledge of conservation issues and environmental laws
• Ability to make decisions quickly and independently
• Ability to communicate in a professional, accurate and enthusiastic manner.

SALARY: $10/hour
Position is part-time, two to three trips per week, typically 8:30 am – 1:30 pm. This is a 6-
week position running from mid-April to the end of May.
