Hi everyone,

I'm Bram and I live in the Netherlands near by Eindhoven. I'm 17 years old and I'm keeping and breeding all sorts of fish since i was 8.
I've got 12 aquariums with a lot of different species , but my favorites are my wildcaught discusfish. Last week I was able to get 20 rainbow shiners.
I was searching for information about those awesome looking fish and that's why i found this website. While looking through this site i found out that there are a lot of beautiful north american fish. Too bad we can't get them over here. I hope i'm going to learn a lot on this site and from you all.

Hi Bram - and goede avonds!
As a recently registered newbie from England I'm delighted to see another European contributor. You'll not be disappointed with the rainbow shiners, they are utterly stunning. I have four and I feel they may be the only ones in England. I'm wanting to breed them but four is a very small number to start with so I've been looking for a few more to form a proper spawning flock. Could you tell me where you got your 20 from? The website of the shop would be ideal. By good luck I'm going to the Netherlands for a holiday at the end of May and I was hoping I'd find some to bring back home.
Let us know how you go on with your shiners, of course. Do you keep any other North American species?
Oh, and your English is fantastic. Ik sprekt niet goede nederlands!

I've got the shiners from Germany, those are the only North American species that I have, but i'm looking for some more.
