I never looked at the centrals as still "north" I guess I should have stated that I want an american tank haha. I basically want darters and minnows in a stream setting which my eartheaters and the jack would hate. My JD is not aggressive at all. Never has been. Well only to guppies hah. Someone just bought him off me. Ill miss him. I did have a jaguar cichlid. I sold him about a month ago. Very pretty fish. Maybe ill get a pickerel instead but I don't think would do well in a stream darter and dace tank. I am keeping my convict. Ill be moving her in the 20 gallon by herself. That's my wifes fav fish. Had her a long time.

It would be a Pickerel only tank in a very short time, although they would not tolerate fast water that you are planning on for your darter tank.

Swamp darters are my favorite fish in the world. They don't have the color of some of the other species, but once you've kept one you'll know why I say they are the best.
