I am trying to find blackbanded sunfish collections in Florida. I have covered most of the museum databases and a friend of mine suggested I post on this website. Has anybody recently collected the species from Florida?

Thanks

Greetings, O-rockhauling tubercled one.

I got some from Jefferson Co., FL in 2000 (though the jury's still out on whether that's "recent"...). They were a real bear to find then. Specimens are cataloged at UAIC. PM me for more detailed info.

Not familar with the acronym. I did receive a collection record from Alabama in 2000. Is it the same?

UAIC = University of Alabama Ichthyology Collection, in always beautiful Tuscaloosa.
