anyone know a good place in massachusetts to get some red fin pickerel?
I haven't really sampled their myself (yet) but a quick search showed this page listing a few places they have been found.
http://www.epa.gov/r...state/fish.html
this page lists them under the fish at tisquipin pond http://www.landbigfi...eed&sort=county (it may not be that accurate as it says stetson pond has black grouper which seems very unlikely).
according to this http://ma.water.usgs...14161/index.htm the Ipswich river has them dominating in the mainstem
I found all this with a google search and not even picking through fish and game, natureserve, or department of environmental services info.
The problem with web info is it is spotty, sometimes incorrect, and even being pointed at the right river doesn't always point you to the fish. Spend a week scouring the web for this and you get what I call presampling, you also get alot of confusion, contradicting reports, and sketchy data on a good day. (bad days get you nothing)
