going to try to find some madtoms in the morning

my son and i are going to go to a nearby (central indiana) stream in the morning and try to find a madtom or two for my 125g . we are going to set out a couple homemade traps and also try to seine a bit so who knows what we might find .... anyone know of a stream in central indiana that i should try? gonna start atthe big blue river then sugarcreek and maybe the flatrock if i can get property owners permission

Good luck! I hope that you find some. Don't forget to check open soda cans that you may find underwater. Madtoms often like to hide and breed in them.

I found several cute little dark ones when we were prowling around the upper Green River near Stanton, KY last weekend. They were near the shore, under rocks, in shallow water (< 2").

Brought a small one home, it spends it's time hovering under a large rock.
